Nominator's project description
| Professor Rossi distinguishes himself through his orginailty and the broadness of his research. He worked in such different areas as Lattice Field Theory, String Theory and Biophysics, providing important and often pioneering contributions. His most distinguished work is certainly in Lattice Field Theory, where he gave a perturbative proof of the continuum limit of renormalized QCD, developed chiral gauge theories as well as supersymmetry and initiated the investigation of the spin structure of hadrons on the lattice. With his recent new proposal to treat chiral fermions in QCD he again poened a new promising way to address this important problem in Lattice Field Theory. |
